Meet Our Team
Three seasoned professionals at the top of their fields: globally renowned neuroscientist and best-selling author, David Eagleman, acclaimed writer/producer Matt Tauber, and award-winning producer/executive Adam Fratto.
An award-winning executive producer with an international track record in TV development, programming, and production, as well as feature films.
Adam recently ran the scripted department for The History Channel, overseeing hit shows like VIKINGS and PROJECT BLUE BOOK, and the live-action TV division of New Zealand’s Weta (Lord of the Rings). He has produced TV series including CLEVERMAN, HAVEN, and GREEK.
Before co-founding Cognito, Matt was a VP for Short Drive Entertainment at Sony.
He’s served as Co-EP of PROJECT BLUE BOOK (A+E Studios) and Supervising Producer of PREACHER (AMC).
He’s produced seven feature films including his favorite, MEADOWLAND, starring Olivia Wilde, Luke Wilson and Elisabeth Moss.
Matt is a Sundance Screenwriting Fellow and has recently written pilots for A+E Studios, UFA and Netflix Germany.
Dr. Eagleman is a neuroscientist at Stanford University, an internationally bestselling author, and a Guggenheim Fellow. He is the writer and presenter of THE BRAIN, an Emmy-nominated television series on PBS and BBC, as well as THE CREATIVE BRAIN on Netflix.
He writes for The Atlantic, Time, New York Times, The Economist, Discover Magazine, Slate, Wired, and New Scientist, and appears regularly on National Public Radio and BBC to discuss both science and literature. He has been a TED speaker, a guest on the Colbert Report, and profiled in the New Yorker.
